The Board of Directors for the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame consists of eight members of the international diving community. By virtue of their position on the Board, all members have a vested interest in the scuba diving community, but several serve on the Board as ex officio members, as a result of their appointment to positions within the Cayman Islands diving industry. These positions are; the Cayman Islands Minister of Tourism; President, Cayman Islands National Watersports Association; and President, Cayman Islands Watersports Operators Association. Adding to the scope of the Board, the President of the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association, the international trade association for the diving industry, also serves on the Board in an ex officio capacity. Ex Officio members serve for a time that coincides with their term to their appointed position.
The remaining members of the Board consist of individuals who have made a significant contribution to scuba diving. Appointed Board members serve for a term of three years. After serving a complete term, the Board of Directors may re-appoint the member for an additional term of two years.
